Flight to the heights of knowledge – education on uav (unmanned aerial vehicle) technology

Flight to the heights of knowledge – education on uav (unmanned aerial vehicle) technology

Imagine a world where you can reach the sky, explore uncharted territories, and provide aid from the air. It's not an imagined future - it's a reality with drone technology that students and teachers have been learning about. The training was held by a drone pilot from Osijek, Tomislav Strahonja, who, as a high school student, was involved in aircraft modeling at the House of Technology in Osijek, which encouraged him to later build drones himself, and now he operates them as a professional drone pilot.

Early programming workshops

Early programming workshops

Even before the holidays, we started interesting workshops in which we learned to code, which was the first encounter with such tasks for most of the participants of this workshop. We continued to work on algorithms and started programming the first steps or the first runs of our robots that we assembled ourselves. We learned why people walk and robots have wheels.

Field course of students to Ludbreg and Oroslavje

On Friday, December 8th, we went to field course again, this time in Oroslavje and Ludbreg. We visited the Science Park, which delighted us with its exhibits, through which, along with play and research, we acquire new knowledge from the fields of physics, mathematics and other natural sciences, such as motion, friction, free fall, Archimede’s law, Pythagora’s lessons, the laws of sound, light, sluggishness of the eye...

Field course of students in Zagreb

Field course of students in Zagreb

On Friday, November 24th, students and teachers visited the Technical Museum of Nikola Tesla, the Museum of Illusions and the German International School in Zagreb as part of the field lesson. Field teaching was an opportunity to learn in a different way than in school classrooms: through a guided visit to the Technical Museum and the Museum of Illusions, the student’s intellectual curiosity was stimulated through guided and independent research and discovery of physical phenomena and laws, and through getting to know other students and other schools, we developed cooperation and gained new acquaintances and new experiences through the presentation of their work.

Workshop Stop Animation

Workshop Stop Animation

Did you know that the first stop-motion film was made way back in 1898.? Exactly 125 years later, on Wednesday, November 29th, the students of Primary School Dalj, as part of the project KOZMOS, learned and tried out this interesting animation technique. Students from 3rd to 8th grade ‘’breathed life’’ or animated various objects from their immediate environment, using cut-out, object, puppet and clay types of animation.
