Did you know that the first stop-motion film was made way back in 1898.? Exactly 125 years later, on Wednesday, November 29th, the students of Primary School Dalj, as part of the project KOZMOS, learned and tried out this interesting animation technique. Students from 3rd to 8th grade ‘’breathed life’’ or animated various objects from their immediate environment, using cut-out, object, puppet and clay types of animation. Besides animation skills and usage of application, they practiced their patience and a steady hand because for a fluid look of the animation, it’s necessary to achieve 24 frames per second. Although we didn’t reach that level of animation, as beginners, we had a lot of fun creating our storyboards, and with socializing and laughing, sharing new ideas and views, learning was pure game! The workshops continue in December and January.
