Education for Human Rights took place on 29th of March, led by Nikica Torbica from DKolektiv. The goal of the education was to convey basic knowledge about Human Rights, to raise awareness of the most common forms of human rights violations, and to encourage teachers to reflect on their own role in advocating for the promotion of Human Rights in their schools and community.
The education consisted of: Familiarization and exercises to raise awareness of Human Rights; History of Human Rights; Values, characteristics and principles of Human Rights, and how to teach Human rights.
Each of the sessions contained a theoretical and a practical part, so in addition to theoretical knowledge, the teachers did exercises: "Step by step" and "Values of human rights"; "Generations of Human Rights" and the final exercise "School Project for Human Rights." Also, as part of the lecture, the lecturer included Examples of good practices of different NGOs and schools that promote and implement education for Human Rights.
